Certified Water Damage Company Near You
Customer-Focused
We work for you – not the insurance company. We’re not on any insurance preferred vendor lists. We’re growing our business by offering quality over quantity.
Verified State Licensed, Certified and Insured
South Carolina doesn’t require workmen’s coverage for small businesses; this leaves you on the hook if a contractor gets hurt on your property. Although unnecessary, for your protection, we carry workmen’s coverage insurance among many others. Also, be aware that general liability doesn’t cover mold. When asking for a quote, we recommend asking for proof of pollution (mold) liability and workmen’s coverage, along with general liability. If our estimate is higher, either the other company missed something or lacks insurance.
Affordable Rates
We use the same estimating software as insurance companies. All pricing is pre-determined. We enter the square footage of the area that requires work and the software calculates the price; this reduces the need to negotiate with insurance companies.
Honest
We don’t use scare tactics to win jobs. We’ll be one of the few companies that tell you mold-testing isn’t foolproof. We’d also like everyone to know that dead or inactive mold is as dangerous as alive mold. It isn’t like asbestos where if you don’t disturb it’s safe to leave in place. The goal of remediation is to remove the mold not kill it.
Most of the time mold testing is unnecessary. The CDC and other governmental agencies do not recommend mold testing. They recommend having mold removed as soon as you see it – don’t let a shady contractor trick you into services you don’t need.
A word of caution, neither the federal government nor the state of South Carolina regulate mold. Any company can obtain a mold certification online and call themselves experts. Mold removal in your home or business should follow the IICRC S520 guidelines. The process should always include specialized equipment like HEPA air scrubbers and vacuums. Be cautious and ask questions, not all water damage repair companies are equal. Ultimately, you’ll have to decide if the contractor is qualified to take on your project.

Van, Teddy and Brian were amazing. Came home to a house that had been pouring water for 3 days. Called the service and they were there in an hour and 15 minutes. They had all the water removed in less than 2 hours and started the drying process on a Sunday night!! They came Monday and started demolition. I was amazed at how quickly they were able to get everything up. These guys are the absolute best!! Very professional, courteous, sympathetic, punctual, and most of all VERY hard working. I couldn’t be more pleased with a company!! Highly recommend their service!!

Not all superheros wear capes. We were in Alabama on vacation when I received a ring doorbell notification on my phone. Our water company came by to let us know approximately 25,000 gallons of water was reportedly used at our address and shut off our water. We called Mike and his team and they were there in less than an hour. When we arrived home nine hours later they had already removed the excess water, removed the flooring, and had thier equipment set up to completely dry everything. We lost most of our possessions downstairs, but gained trust and confidence in a company which is rare these days. Thank you Mike and your team for making a stressful situation a little easier to handle. Thank you Mike, Brian, Van, and Teddy for an outstanding experience!

Common Questions About Water Damage Restoration in South Carolina
Cost of Water Damage Cleanup- Who’s Responsible?
If you’re a South Carolina homeowner with a homeowners insurance policy, most emergency water damage accidents are covered. If you’re a tenant that has experienced a water loss you’re insurance probably won’t cover it. Water damage mitigation is one of the few industries we know of that asks you to sign a contract allowing us to perform all necessary restoration services without giving a cost upfront. This is standard practice in our industry.
At best, we can provide a ballpark figure. This is simply because it’s impossible to know how exactly how long a material will take to dry or if you have particle board flooring that will have to be removed. There are countless scenarios that all will affect the end bill. Insurance companies know and expect this. Rarely will an insurance company disagree with our mitigation bill. Their main concern is getting you dried out and safe. After that, they can haggle on the price of rebuilding your home. We also us the same water damage estimating software as them so that helps too. 🙂
Do I Have Mold in My Columbia South Carolina Home?
Chances are you do not have mold due to a water damage emergency that occurred within the last couple of days. In perfect conditions, it’s possible but improbable. The faster the water is removed from your home, the less likely mold will have a chance to start growing. Once wet materials are removed and your home is dried below 16% MC, mold doesn’t have enough moisture to grow. If you need mold testing or duct cleaning, we can help with that too.
Does my homeowner’s insurance cover water damage restoration services in Columbia, SC?
A recent one-time sudden discharge of water is a commonly covered loss. We accept all insurance including but not limited to State Farm, USAA, Geico, Allstate, Nationwide, Progressive, Farmers, Travelers, and Liberty Mutual.
